Mark Cherrett

Mark has travelled the world as a performing artist, with a background in acting, singing and stand-up comedy. After settling in Adelaide, Mark studied directing at MAPS film school, where he discovered how to channel his performance experience into creative storytelling from behind the camera. Mark’s passion for filmmaking led to him founding two companies in the film and creative space. All Sourced Up began as a video marketing company and has now transitioned into a creative production company specialising in long-form documentary. TYPE Talent Acting Academy synergises his film and acting experience to train emerging actors for the screen. Mark is an award-winning short filmmaker, whose feature debut Unleash was released in 2022 and distributed by Umbrella Entertainment. Having nurtured a vision to create a film academy that is hands-on with a focus on networking and collaboration, Mark is excited to have brought together some of the best experts in the business to share their insights in the world of filmmaking. He can’t wait to meet you in the course and share his passion and excitement for filmmaking, as you learn the core skills required to showcase your creative vision on screen.

David Gregan

David Gregan is an Australian based multi-award winning Cinematographer working in the fields of advertising, drama, and documentary.  In 2021 he won a Gold award from the Australian Cinematographers Society (ACS) for the Screen Australia/South Australian Film Corporation funded series Love, Guns and Level Ups. He has shot advertising campaigns for such clients as Coopers Brewery, Fantastic Rice Crackers, Beyond Bank, People’s Choice Credit Union, South Australian Tourism, and Adelaide Film Festival. David has also worked extensively on long form drama productions. Most recently serving as 2nd Unit Cinematographer on the ABC Kids TV series Beep and Mort, B Cam operator/2nd Unit Cinematographer on the SBS TV series A Beginner’s Guide to Grief, as wellas B Camera Operator on the Emmy Award winning ABC TV series First Day. Other 2nd Unit Cinematography and B Camera Operator credits include TV series Aftertaste season 1, Stateless, Pine Gap, Chef Exchange season 2 as well as feature films Hotel Mumbai, Never Too Late and Rabbit. Originally starting his career in the lighting department on big budget films and TV series has given David the ability to use light and colour to help shape and execute images with a difference. David is a relaxed and friendly personality who enjoys passing on his knowledge to others, so that each student can walk away with a better depth of knowledge.

Jodie Kirkbride

Jodie is a South Australian Producer, currently working at MERLIN producing TVCs, corporate videos and post-producing TV Show Adventure All Stars. Formerly working as a Producer’s assistant at KOJO, Jodie assisted in the development and production of KOJO Studio’s slate, most recently working on TOP END WEDDING, HOTEL MUMBAI, 2067, and FIRST DAY and formerly being mentored by Kate Croser (now CEO of the South Australian Film Corporation). Prior to KOJO they worked as a producer for corporate and commercial media company Floodlight Media; and as a Casting Coordinator at Heesom Casting, casting such projects as WOLF CREEK TV SERIES, STORM BOY, RABBIT and BOYS IN THE TREES, as well as countless TVCs. In 2018, Jodie received the South Australian Screen Award for “Emerging Producer”. They were also the recipient of the South Australian Film Corporation’s Career Accelerator Grant as part of the SAFC’s Gender Agenda and travelled to Los Angeles for 6 weeks to work with The Exchange, including the American Film Market in November 2017. Jodie has a Bachelor of Media Arts from the University of South Australia: Majoring in Film and Television Production and sub-majoring in Animation; and a Postgraduate Certificate in Film & Television. Jodie identifies as non-binary and  is neurodiverse. Since graduating in 2015,  Their most prolific project, a web-series LOVE, GUNS & LEVEL UPS was funded by Screen Australia, YouTube and the South Australian Film Corporation and released in full on YouTube in September 2020.

Gareth Wilkes

Gareth is a passionate and award winning long-serving member of the film industry. He has Art Directed feature film, television series and TVC productions including international television series “The Tourist” and the highly praised “Talk to Me”, directed by YouTube sensations Danny and Michael Phillipou. Gareth continues to balance his career in Art Department with Writing and Directing his own content. His short films have played in festivals worldwide, having received a number of craft and technical awards for both his dramatic and comedic work. He also works as an acting/dialogue coach and a filmmaking teacher. His passion for making expression through filmmaking accessible to the underprivileged has led him into a number of mentoring roles.

Tayla Kokkinoplitis

After receiving an Advanced Diploma at MAPS Film School in 2017 with a focus on editing, Tayla has worked across multiple corporate, TV and film productions from data wrangling, editing and post coordinating. Her assistant editorial credits across TV include Stateless, Aftertaste season 1, MaveriX and First Day. Tayla has skills across Davinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, the Adobe Suite and Avid Media Composer. Most recently she worked as a Post Coordinator for Artisan Post Group where she managed post schedules and deadlines, conformed projects and assisted in creating final masters for smooth delivery to distributors. Her credits as a post coordinator include the second season of ABC’s Aftertaste, horror feature film Carnifex and sci-fi/thriller Monolith as well as documentaries The Last Daughter and The Angels: Kickin' Down the Door. Tayla is currently freelance editing and is due to step on board as an assistant editor for the second season of ABC Kids TV series Beep and Mort. Tayla is eager to share her skills and knowledge with upcoming filmmakers and teach them the fundamentals of editing, covering a range of topics. She hopes to inspire and help ignite passions across filmmaking.
