Session 1 / Mon 24th July – Industry and business

Session 2 / Mon 31st July – Cinematography

This hands-on session illuminates the essentials of cinematography! There is so much to learn in this area, but it all starts with the core skill of lighting. From setting up equipment, to moving the lights - you’ll have a go at doing everything PLUS pressing record
Session 3 / Mon 7th Aug - Directing/Writing

Learn from Gareth’s holistic approach to bringing to life a vision, as well as boundaries that you may come across when creating content. This hands-on session gives you the opportunity to jump straight in to directing actors on screen!
Session 4 / Mon 14th Aug – Editing and Post-Production

Once the shoot’s wrapped, are you ready to assemble your vision in the editing suite? Tayla’s an accomplished professional who’ll introduce you to the fundamentals of post-production techniques. Ensuring everything from style of the film to pace, you’ll understand how to best edit a film for your desired audience.
Session 5 / Mon 21st Aug - Audio

Audio is absolutely essential to producing an immersive final product. Get the boom stick and lapels ready! Peter is an absolute guru of getting clean audio on set, and he’ll show you all the tricks to managing audio in different shoot locations.
Session 6 / Mon 28th Aug - Producing

So you’ve got a great idea - what will it take to get it made? From budgets, hiring crew and logistics, to working with a director’s vision and more, Jodie will teach all that goes on before, during and after a film shoot to produce that final screening-ready product!
